Our Story 

Chris Zafiriou started Zafs Kitchen when he couldn't deny his burning desire and passion for cooking any longer. An obsession he has had since he was 10 years old,  his parents have owned the local butcher shop in Earlwood, NSW (J&V MEATS) for over 35 years and he has always been around meat and BBQing.

 

Growing up, Chris was always the go to BBQ man for family and friends whenever an event was being held, so he decided to turn his talents into a business and it has proven to be the best choice he ever made!

 

 

Cooking will always be Chris’ passion and he loves seeing people enjoy his food. This love of people enjoying his food, chatting, laughing and making memories around the dinner table was something he experienced during his childhood with his parents,  grandparents and siblings always by his side.

Chris hopes to ignite the same feelings of happiness and joy between family and friends who employ Zafs Kitchen to cater their events.

Our Story 

Chris Zafiriou founded Zafs Kitchen out of a deep, long-held passion for cooking—an obsession that began when he was just 10 years old. Raised in a family where his parents ran a local butcher shop, J&V Meats, in Earlwood, NSW for over 35 years, Chris grew up surrounded by meat and the art of BBQing.

From a young age, he was always the go-to BBQ chef for family gatherings and events. Realizing his natural talent and love for cooking, Chris decided to turn his passion into a business—a decision that has proved to be one of the best he's ever made.

For Chris, cooking isn't just about food; it's about creating moments of joy. He cherishes the happiness that comes from seeing people enjoy his meals, reminiscing about the shared laughter and conversations around the dinner table. This sense of warmth and connection was something he experienced growing up with his parents, grandparents, and siblings.

Through Zafs Kitchen, Chris hopes to bring the same sense of community, love, and happiness to every event, ensuring that family and friends come together to create lasting memories
